Though my updates mostly stopped last fall right before I had my son, August, my work continues to focus on the arts. And on August, of course.
I recently shot the exhibitions for the Philadelphia Art Alliance, which included an incredibly smart installation Temporary Stay by emerging Philadelphia artist Kristen Neville Taylor.
Before that I documented both the latest opening and current shows for the Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia.
The first, Myths of the Marble, a collaboration by Alex Klein of the ICA, and Milena Hoegsberg of the HOK, is interested in the virtual through the lens of a specific group of artists.
The second, Ginny Casey & Jessi Reaves, curated by Charlotte Ickes, features by two exciting artists working with, respectively, painting and sculpture, and the interactions of their works inspired by "domestic objects, and decorative surfaces."
Artist and visitor interaction at the opening:
I have to say the following is one of the most fun collaborations I've ever documented– The (Re)New You Fashion Lab– a collaboration between Moore College of Art & Design and students at The U School High School, inspired by RAIR. Philly's version of Project Runway.
