THE WEATHER STATION/MYRIAM GENDRON AT THE GREAT HALL by Constance Mensh

Seeing enigmatic Myriam Gendron (of Montreal) could alone have made the trip all the way to Toronto's The Great Hall worth it, but the promising opening led to an incredible hometown performance by The Weather Station, led by Tamara Lindeman. Her new LP, Loyalty, just out on Paradise of Bachelors, was deemed "folk album of the year" by Fader and draws comparisons to fellow Canadians Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen.

The time spent in Barbara’s company was to encounter someone so completely cool, I can only guess it comes from living a long life in pursuit of art for the collective advancement of photography, women artists and anyone with two eyes, a brain and a soul.  Or she’s just always been that way.
